After reviewing the works of the Neue Sachlichkeit artists like Otto Dix, George Grosz, and Kathe Kollwitz I realized one thing and that was that one thing was common among all the three and that was war. Either they have served in war or they have seen their closed ones in the war but war was something common in these artists. These artists showed in their work the emotions related to war and how war affects the world and the society and these emotions were portrayed quite strongly by these artists.
